Hyderabad, June 30 (IANS). Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to formulate a clear policy for allotting land to various mutts under the jurisdiction of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanams in Yadagirigutta.
He said that the ownership rights of the land should mainly remain with the temple. The Chief Minister reviewed the development works of the temple in a high-level meeting.
He clearly said that the policy of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam regarding allotment of land under the jurisdiction of the temple should be studied.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy suggested to allot land at market price to Hare Rama Hare Krishna (Charitable) Foundation in Yadagirigutta.
He said that a list of people coming forward to build a guest house on the hill should be prepared. He talked about following TTD’s policy in building guest houses and giving approval in phases. He also said that a policy should be made with clear rules for allotment of land to caste organizations.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to immediately release funds to acquire land for various development works within the jurisdiction of the temple.
He ordered a comprehensive study of the report of the committee of engineers regarding the construction of the Yadagirigutta temple and submitted the report within a week. Also, he said that the tourism circuit should be developed under public-private partnership policy.
Apart from the MPs, senior officials associated with the Chief Minister’s Office were present in the meeting.
