Bareilly, 27 September (IANS). In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, after the prayer of Jumme on Friday, a stressful situation arose over the banners and slogans of ‘I Love Mohammed’.

During this time, the administration of Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC) Maulana Tauqir Raza was arrested by the administration, after which security arrangements were further tightened in the city.

A heavy police force was deployed outside the residence of Maulana Tauqir staying in Faik Enclave in Baradari area of ​​Bareilly.

Maulana alleged that as soon as he was about to leave for Namaz, the administration came to know about his location.

He said, “DM and other officials arrived at my residence and stopped me from going out. The entire police force was deployed. The government is strict against Muslims.”

According to the information received, after the prayers of Jumme, some people raised the banners and slogans of ‘I Love Mohammed’, after which the atmosphere became tense. The administration took immediate action to control the situation and decided to put Maulana under house arrest. Police increased patrolling in sensitive areas of the city and additional security forces were deployed so that there was no untoward incident.

The district administration says that this step has been taken to maintain peace and law and order in the city.

The police have appealed people to maintain peace and not share inflammatory content on social media. Additional police force and RAF have been deployed in the city.

The administration has also assured that the situation is constantly being monitored and strict steps will be taken to prevent any disturbance.
