‘The alliance is still alive’, claims Congress MP Tariq Anwar regarding RJD

‘गठबंधन अभी जिंदा है’, राजद को लेकर कांग्रेस सांसद तारिक अनवर का दावा

New Delhi, December 31 (IANS). After the crushing defeat in Bihar assembly elections, the voices of Congress party leaders are not matching with each other regarding Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed termed RJD as a burden on Congress and advised him to move ahead. At the same time, Congress MP Tariq Anwar does not agree with his statement. Tariq Anwar believes that the alliance will remain with RJD only.

Speaking to IANS in New Delhi, when Congress MP Tariq Anwar was asked to react to Shakeel Ahmed’s statement, he said that we have a relationship and alliance with RJD as it is part of the India Bloc alliance. As long as it remains a part of the India Bloc alliance, it will remain a part of our alliance also. They may have their own personal opinions.

He said that alliance is not made through any particular person. The decision on alliance is taken by the top leadership from Delhi.

Regarding RJD, Shakeel Ahmed had said that Congress is not going to get any benefit from RJD. Congress should move forward.

On distribution of swords and axes by members of Hindu organizations in Ghaziabad, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said that such things need to be strictly banned. Both our central and state governments need to think about where we are headed. If weapons continue to be distributed like this and if hatred and enmity are openly promoted, it will definitely harm our country in the future.

He said that our unity and integrity will be harmed.

When BJP criticized Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for not visiting Ram temple in Ayodhya, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said that faith is a personal matter of every person. It cannot be forced on anyone.
