The ill-treatment meted out to Rohini Didi has shaken our hearts to the core: Tej Pratap Yadav

Condemning the alleged misbehavior in the family with his sister Rohini Acharya, Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav launched a scathing attack on political rivals and indirectly termed him “Jaichand” and warned that traitors will definitely have to pay the price of this misbehavior.

The JJD leader alleged that his sister Rohini Acharya was “insulted” and said he would not tolerate insult to his sister under any circumstances.

Sharing the post, Tej Pratap said that his party will not remain silent about the “misbehavior” towards his sister. He wrote, “We will not tolerate the disrespect of our sister under any circumstances; the traitors will definitely have to pay the price for this misbehavior!”

She also shared a poster on Instagram which read, “The ill-treatment meted out to our Rohini Didi by Jaichands has shaken our hearts to the core.”

The JJD chief, who was expelled from the RJD a few months ago, further said that though he had decided to remain silent on the personal attacks made on him, Rohini’s alleged insult was “intolerable under any circumstances”.

The poster further read, “I tolerated what happened to me, but the insult that happened to my sister is unbearable under any circumstances.”

In a stern warning to his political rivals, he said without naming any person or party, “Listen Jaichand, if you attack the family, the people of Bihar will never forgive you.”

This comment of Tej Pratap Yadav has come at a time when RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya on Sunday mentioned the incidents that took place during the family feud after the Grand Alliance’s crushing defeat in the Bihar elections. He also stressed that he has the blessings of his parents Lalu and Rabri Devi.

On Saturday, after announcing his decision to “quit politics”, Acharya claimed that Tejashwi Yadav and his close aide, RJD MP Sanjay Yadav, have “thrown him out” from the family. Tejashwi’s sister alleged that when she questioned Sanjay Yadav about the party’s defeat, she was “humiliated, abused and even hit”.

Meanwhile, in an emotional post on X on Sunday, Rohini claimed that she was “humiliated”, “abused” and even threatened to hit her with slippers.

She wrote, “Yesterday I was cursed and told that I am dirty and I got my dirty kidney transplanted from my father, took crores of rupees, bought a ticket and then got that dirty kidney transplanted in him. To all the daughters and sisters who are married, I would say that when you have a son or brother in your maternal house, never save your god-like father; rather tell your brother, the son of that house, to donate his kidney or that of any of your Haryanvi friends. Get a transplant.”

Rohini Acharya’s decision to quit politics has created a stir in the political circles of Bihar as the Rashtriya Janata Dal had a poor performance in the recently concluded assembly elections, where the party won only 25 seats after contesting over 140 seats in the 243-member House.

However, Acharya’s decision has been criticized by several leaders of NDA, AIMIM and JD(U), who have mainly blamed Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates for the deteriorating situation.

This development has created a stir in Bihar politics and many people are speculating about the future of the political dynasty of Lalu family. Rohini’s allegations have also raised questions on RJD’s internal dynamics and the role of family members in the party.
