New Delhi, July 25 (IANS). The third round of talks was held in New Delhi on Saturday between the central government and the delegation of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
In this meeting, the demands of the delegation on improving the examination system and measures to prevent incidents of paper leaks were discussed. This meeting was held at the Constitution Club at 3.30 pm.
In the meeting, Union Minister JP Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh discussed the demands of the Cockroach Janata Party. Meanwhile, on behalf of CJP, Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka submitted the updated list of demands of the Cockroach Janata Party to the government.
Out of the list of four demands given by CJP to the government, one of them was the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, which has now been fulfilled. Additionally, it stressed on the remaining three demands, which include a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of all students who committed suicide, no action against any student protestor and a public apology from the RAF and Delhi Police.
Saurabh Das said that Jantar Mantar and the entire country is waiting for the remaining demands.
Earlier, Union Ministers JP Nadda and Dr Jitendra Singh had also met the CJP delegation on Friday. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Nadda said that the government has listened seriously and patiently to the demands of CJP regarding reform in the examination system.
Speaking to the media, Union Minister JP Nadda said, “We came here to discuss the issues of the agitating people. The meeting lasted for about 2 hours. On behalf of the government, I and Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh came. We listened to them. Every topic was discussed in a cordial atmosphere.”
Nadda said, “They had 3 main demands and 5 reform suggestions for the examinations. We told them that we will meet again on Saturday afternoon and tell them about the discussion between the government.”
