The security of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been increased. The Union Home Ministry has sent a letter to the DGP of Madhya Pradesh in which it has been said that Shivraj Singh is the target of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. ISI was collecting information about Shivraj Singh Chauhan. This decision was taken after input from the Home Ministry.
Tight security deployed at Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s house
Additional barricades have been installed around B-8 residence of Shivraj Singh Chauhan among the 74 bungalows of Bhopal. Security has also been increased at his official residence in Delhi. Information has been received that ISI is showing interest in Shivraj Singh Chauhan. They already had Z+ security, but now their security has been further enhanced. As soon as the input was received, local police and security agencies strengthened the security cordon of Chauhan in both the cities. Enhanced security was seen outside his bungalow in Bhopal late on Friday night.
Home Ministry issued strict orders
The Home Ministry has ordered the concerned agencies and the DGP of Madhya Pradesh to ensure that there is no lapse in security. The Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh has also been asked to remain on high alert. Instructions have also been issued to the Special Commissioner (Security) of Delhi Police.
ISI’s interest in Shivraj Singh
According to the Home Ministry’s letter regarding increased security, ISI has shown interest in collecting information about Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The security arrangements for the Union Minister have been reviewed in consultation with the Central Security Agency. The letter states that security arrangements should be appropriately adjusted to prevent any untoward incident.
