Uttam Nagar murder case: Accused’s mother reaches Delhi High Court against bulldozer action, hearing to be held today

New Delhi, March 10 (IANS). In the case of murder of Tarun that took place on the day of Holi in Delhi’s Uttamnagar area, the administration had taken bulldozer action against the accused. At the same time, now the family members of the accused have reached Delhi High Court in this case. Delhi High Court will hear the case on Tuesday.

The mother of the accused has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the bulldozer action. The petitioner’s lawyer said that the house of the co-accused in the case has been demolished and there is a possibility of his house also being demolished.

Let us tell you that on March 8, bulldozer action was taken on the house of the accused, while on March 9, three women were detained. According to Delhi Police, the women detained included Saira, Sharif and Salma. Delhi Police has already arrested seven people including a minor in this murder case. This incident happened on the day of Holi in JJ Colony of Uttamnagar.

The victim’s side claims that the 11-year-old girl was playing Holi on her terrace. Meanwhile, a balloon thrown by him fell down and splashes of color fell on a woman from the Muslim community passing by. The girl’s family members said that they had immediately apologized to the woman from the Muslim community. Despite this, the woman created a ruckus and her family members and relatives also reached there.

It is alleged that they surrounded 26-year-old Tarun Kumar and attacked him with cricket bats, sticks and stones. Seriously injured Tarun Kumar was taken to the hospital, where he died on Thursday morning.

After Tarun’s death, tension increased in the area on Friday. Hindu organizations demonstrated against the incident. The protesters blocked main roads, affecting traffic. In view of the tension, many shops in the area were kept closed as a precautionary measure.

Strict action has been taken by the Delhi administration in the matter. Apart from this, the police is registering a case against the accused and arresting them.
