Datia, July 14 (IANS). Political activities have intensified regarding the Datia Assembly by-election of Madhya Pradesh. Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh has formally started the election campaign by filing his nomination.
During this, Congress candidate Ghanshyam Singh claimed that the atmosphere in Datia is in favor of Congress and the people are angry with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. He said elections are always challenging, especially by-elections, as the ruling party makes every effort to ensure victory. Despite this, Congress will contest the elections with full strength and will win.
After filing nomination, Ghanshyam Singh also reacted on the issue of senior BJP leader Narottam Mishra not getting ticket. He said that Narottam Mishra has been one of the prominent leaders of BJP for a long time, hence cutting his ticket has naturally become a topic of discussion. People are not happy with BJP, the answer will be known in the coming time.
Ghanshyam Singh said that Narottam Mishra had lost the last assembly election by a very small margin and the current by-election is also being held due to the same election result. At the same time, Congress leader Awadhesh Nayak also gave his reaction on Narottam Mishra not getting the ticket. He said that he understands the pain of not getting a ticket very well because he himself has faced such a situation many times.
Nayak told that recently Narottam Mishra looked emotional and he was also mentioned in his speech. He said that Mishra has done many things for the development of Datia, although every person makes mistakes. According to him, the pain of not getting the ticket was clearly visible in Narottam Mishra’s feelings and his statement.
On speculations about joining BJP, Awadhesh Nayak clarified that at present no talks are going on in this regard. The opinion of the workers and supporters associated with him for a long time is most important to him and any future decision will be taken keeping their advice in mind.
