Will go among the people regarding development works in Maharashtra: Muralidhar Mohol

महाराष्ट्र में विकास के कार्यों को लेकर जनता के बीच जाएंगे: मुरलीधर मोहोल

Pune, January 1 (IANS). Political rhetoric regarding local body elections is intense in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation in the Government of India and former Mayor of Pune, Muralidhar Mohol on Thursday reiterated his promise to contest the elections in alliance with Shiv Sena and RPI (Republican Party of India).

Speaking to reporters, Muralidhar Mohol said, “From the very beginning we had said that we will contest the elections in alliance. Shiv Sena is our alliance partner and RPI is also our alliance partner, so all three of us will contest the elections together. We had said this from the very first day and today we have confirmed that coordination with RPI regarding seat distribution has been completed.”

He told, “Talks are going on with Shiv Sena regarding the number of seats, but I am confident that soon this problem will be resolved and we will fight the elections together. We all are discussing it at the local level. Whatever decision Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde take in this regard, it will be acceptable to all of us.”

Former Pune Mayor Muralidhar Mohol said, “In the last five years, we have worked as the ruling party. The triple engine government along with Narendra Modi government at the Center and Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra have done a lot of work in Pune. Under this, work was done on electric buses, metro, river front project and many electricity projects. We have done a lot of work in Pune in the last 10-12 years. We will go before the people with this issue.”

The BJP leader said, “The public expressed confidence in the BJP, due to which we came to power. The people of Pune were with us in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections as well. We lived up to the trust they had expressed in us. We will go to the public with the same development work that we have completed the work they had given us the opportunity to do. We have always made honest efforts, for which we will go forward.”
