Bangladesh election violence: Voting for the assembly elections in Bihar started today from 06 November 2025. National parliamentary elections are going to be held in India’s neighboring country Bangladesh in a few months. Political parties have started campaigning for this. Today, on 6 November, violent clashes broke out during a campaign in Bangladesh. Violence has broken out in many parts of the country. The violence escalated to such an extent that a Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate was shot. Another candidate’s house was set on fire.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Irshad Ullah was involved in a campaign event during the election campaign in Chittagong. During this, some miscreants opened fire on them. In this case, the interim government has strongly condemned the attack. The interim government said in a statement that immediate investigation by the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) revealed that Irshad Ullah was not the target of the attack but was injured by another bullet. The government has ordered a complete investigation into this incident.
Meanwhile, BNP nomination aspirant MP candidate from Central Comilla district, Monovar Sarkar has alleged that his house has been set on fire by some miscreants. BNP has blamed Jamaat-e-Islami for creating disturbances in the election environment after the victory of the Jamaat-backed student wing in the student union elections. Anwarul Haq, the BNP nominated MP candidate in North Netrakona, said that after the elections of DUCSU, RUCSU and CUCSU, they (Jamaat) created an atmosphere in the entire country that they will be the next government in the country.
On this, Anwarul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami and others and some advisors of the government and other foreign stakeholders have also created an unfavorable environment in the upcoming elections.
