After all three incidents, the concerned police station reached the spot and started relief work. The injured were taken to the hospital with the help of ambulances and private vehicles. The bodies of all the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of the district hospital.
Friday was a day of painful road accidents in Dholpur district of Rajasthan. Five people lost their lives in three horrific accidents in different police station areas of the district, while about 25 people were injured. Of these, 10 injured have been referred to a higher center as their condition is serious. After the accidents, there was an outcry in the district hospital and the police kept the bodies of all the dead in the mortuary for post-mortem. Initial investigation has revealed that all three accidents occurred due to different reasons, but carelessness and high speed emerged as the major reasons in each incident.
First accident: Car parked on the bridge became the cause of death
The first accident of the day occurred near Parvati bridge on National Highway-123 in Saipau police station area. According to the police, a car was parked on the bridge. Meanwhile, while trying to overtake, a bike, a car and a Kentra vehicle collided with each other.
The collision was so severe that two cousins riding the bike, Ravi Kushwaha and Sonu Kushwaha, residents of Paraua, died on the spot. The third youth, Satyavan, was seriously injured. He was sent to the higher center after first aid. Police say that vehicles parked on the bridge and attempts to overtake are considered to be the main reasons behind the accident.
Second accident: Pickup’s wheel came off while moving
The second major accident took place near Nayapura village on NH-11B in Bari Sadar police station area. Devotees from nearby villages including Kakua village in Agra district were returning in a pickup vehicle after visiting Kaila Devi temple. There were about 35 people in the vehicle.
On the way, suddenly the front wheel of the pickup came off, due to which the driver could not control the vehicle and the pickup overturned on the road. After the accident, there was chaos on the spot and after hearing the screams of the passengers, the local people rushed to help.
50 year old Rimla, wife of Dalel resident Kakua (Agra) died in the accident. About 20 people were injured, including women, men and children. Since the condition of ten injured was critical, they were referred to a higher center. The police kept the dead body in the mortuary of the district hospital and started the post-mortem process.
Third accident: While going to collect loan money, the car collided with a tree.
The third accident took place near Kolua Ka Pura village of Kaulari police station area. According to the police, the speeding Swift car lost control and collided with a tree on the roadside.
In the accident, 45 year old Het Singh, son of Sardar Singh, resident of Kharagpur and 16 year old Shivkumar, son of Darshan Singh, resident of Sone Ka Pura died on the spot. 26-year-old Keshav Kumar and 18-year-old Manish, who were traveling in the car, were seriously injured.
Family members told that all the people were going to Pura village of Kolua to collect the borrowed money. Due to the high speed of the car on the road, the driver lost control and the vehicle collided directly with a tree. The collision was so severe that the front part of the car was blown to pieces.

Police officials say that different reasons have emerged for all three accidents. At some places, the collision occurred due to a vehicle parked on the bridge and overtaking, at some places the pickup overturned due to a technical fault in the vehicle, while in the third accident, a speeding car collided with a tree. The case is being investigated by taking possession of the accident vehicles. These consecutive accidents on Friday shocked the entire district and the happiness of five families turned into mourning in a single day.
