Uttarakhand news: The sustainable efforts of Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami have come up with positive results. The Union Electricity Ministry has approved an important amount of ₹ 547.83 crore for the state of Uttarakhand. This amount will be used to develop the distribution structure and underground cabling works in Rishikesh and developing modern SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) in the capital Dehradun. With the completion of these projects, the power supply system of both cities will not only be stronger, but consumers will also get smooth, safe and quality electricity.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Electricity Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar for the said approval. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is constantly getting full support of the central government, which is giving new direction and energy to the development pace of the state. The Chief Minister said that millions of consumers will directly benefit from these projects.
The Chief Minister said that the central and state governments are working together to strengthen the infrastructure in the state. In the same sequence, on the request of the Chief Minister, Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav has taken concrete initiative towards construction of the underpass at the main railway crossing near Maharana Pratap Chowk, while approving the much awaited demand of Kichha region. In this regard, he has instructed the concerned authorities to submit on -site and submit the report soon.
