Anant Singh Wealth: Amidst the hustle and bustle of Bihar Assembly elections, bloodshed has once again returned to the land of Mokama. Mokama, which has always been witness to the electoral battle of strongmen, is once again in the grip of political violence. JDU’s candidate from NDA, Anant Singh, whom his supporters call ‘Chhote Sarkar’ or now ‘Dada’, is once again in the headlines. This time the reason is a sensational murder that took place during the election campaign. 64-year-old Anant Singh has had the image of Bahubali for decades, and in the main contest against him on Mokama seat, RJD has fielded Veena Devi, who is the wife of Bahubali leader Suraj Bhan Singh himself. This war between these two powerful families has now taken the form of election violence.
Murder during campaign, series of allegations and counter-allegations
On Thursday, during the election campaign in Mokama, there was a fierce clash between two groups, in which a person named Dularchand Yadav died. Dularchand Yadav was campaigning for Jan Suraj Party candidate Piyush Priyadarshi, who is contesting against Anant Singh from Mokama. After this murder, politics has intensified and allegations are being leveled directly on Anant Singh. This incident in Mokama indicates that gang war among the strongmen in this area is not a new thing, especially at the time of elections. However, Anant Singh immediately hit back by denying the allegation. He says that there is a deep conspiracy of his rival Surajbhan Singh behind this murder. Amidst these allegations and counter-allegations, the people of Mokama are in an atmosphere of fear and anger, where votes will be cast in the first phase on 6 November.
Ananth Singh’s ‘Baahubali’ property: owner of Rs 100 crore

Anant Singh’s lifestyle is also no less than a ‘small government’. During election campaigning he is often seen in his Toyota Land Cruiser car worth more than Rs 2.70 crore. His convoy often consists of more than 30 vehicles. Apart from expensive cars, he is also very fond of gold and silver. Both the husband and wife together have jewelery worth about Rs 91 lakh. He has invested around Rs 10 crore in bonds, stock market and various companies, while his wife also has an investment of Rs 21 lakh.
Carriage, elephants and horses: the royal ride of ‘Chhote Sarkar’
Anant Singh’s hobby is not limited to expensive vehicles only. He is also very fond of rearing elephants and horses. He has been seen riding a horse many times, and once his entry in the Bihar Assembly in a carriage made a lot of headlines. In the election affidavit, he has mentioned about having a cow, buffalo and elephant, the value of which is estimated at Rs 1.90 lakh. His ‘royal’ lifestyle is always a topic of discussion among the voters of Mokama. Anant Singh has Rs 15.61 lakh in cash, while his wife has Rs 34.60 lakh in cash. He owns three luxury SUV vehicles, the total value of which is Rs 3.23 crore.
Anant Singh has a long history in Mokama politics having been MLA 5 times since 1990. His family has dominated the seat for almost three decades, even though his wife won the seat on an RJD ticket in 2020.
