Prashant kishor vs ashok chaudhary: These days in Bihar politics, Janata Dal United (JDU) strong leader and minister Ashok Chaudhary has suddenly given ‘walk-over’ in the ongoing major battle over ‘allegations of corruption’. In the first attack of electoral strategist Prashant Kishore (PK), Chaudhary has suddenly pulled back after sending two legal notices. Prashant Kishore had accused him of serious allegation of corruption of Rs 200 crore, in response to which Ashok Chaudhary has now announced to leave the legal battle and go to the public court. On social media, people are asking them questions that the leader who does not contest the assembly elections himself, how will he go to the ‘public court’?
PK threats worked?
The entire controversy began when Prashant Kishore accused Ashok Chaudhary of buying a Lok Sabha ticket for his daughter Shambhavi Chaudhary. In response, Ashok Chaudhary sent a notice of Rs 100 crore to PK. However, PK did not stop here. He called a press conference and accused Ashok Chaudhary of earning assets worth 200 crores through corruption in two years and threatened to withdraw the notice.
Indication to suffer the consequences: Prashant Kishore had said that if the defamation notice is not withdrawn in seven days, he would present the details of Ashok Chaudhary’s 500 crores and property.
Put weapons on the fifth day: On the fifth fifth day of this threat, Ashok Chaudhary laid down arms and retreated from the legal battle. Questions are being raised on this sudden U-turn whether Ashok Chaudhary had no option left after the PK attacks.
Legal battle and public court’s stand
Ashok Chaudhary issued a shayrana statement on the social site ‘X’ and informed about his decision. Referring to deceit and justice, he wrote:
“The Jan Suraj Party is making a false and unrestrained effort to tarnish my image among the public … Now that the election is in front, this fight should be fought in the court of better people from the court … I do not except Bhuj, do not support me any other support.” This statement may be emotional, but his decision is receiving sharp reactions on social media.
Public reaction: People are directly asking that “Sir, you contest the MLC election … Where do you go to the public court?” Many users have dared to contest the assembly elections.
Let me tell you, Ashok Chaudhary has been a two -time MLA from Barbigha, but since 2014 he has been becoming a Legislative Council member (MLC), and is currently in this position in the cabinet of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
PK’s responsibility increased, now give details of 500 crores
This U-turn of Ashok Chaudhary has given a walk-over to Prashant Kishore in a way, but now his responsibility has also increased. If PK no longer puts alleged corruption of Rs 500 crore to the public, then the opposition parties as well as the general public may feel that they were only blackmailing. Prashant Kishore, who himself talks about establishing political purity through ‘Jan Suraj’ in Bihar, will now have to prove himself beyond suspicion and bring to reveal Ashok Chaudhary’s alleged corruption as promised. Otherwise this ‘walk-over’ can also question their credibility.
