Bageshwar State Guest House: The state government has accelerated steps towards construction of modern state guest house in Bageshwar. As per the announcement of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the State Property Department has given priority to the proposed project and started working on its action plan. On Thursday, Secretary Housing and State Property Department, Dr. R. In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Rajesh Kumar, the outline and construction process of the state guest house to be built in village Thelapalan of Bageshwar was discussed in detail.

In the meeting, the Secretary instructed the officials that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the project should be prepared keeping in mind the current needs as well as future needs. He said that this project, which comes under the Chief Minister’s announcement, should be given top priority and its construction should be completed in a quality manner within the stipulated time limit.

The proposed state guest house will be developed on approximately 0.900 hectare i.e. 45 nali land in village Thelapalan of Bageshwar tehsil. Its objective is to provide better facilities for government programs, administrative activities and movement of distinguished guests in the hilly areas. The structure of the building, necessary facilities and possibilities of future expansion were also discussed in the meeting.

Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar directed the executing agency Provincial Block Public Works Department, Bageshwar that adequate provision of adequate number of guest rooms, meeting rooms, administrative rooms and other necessary facilities should be made in the DPR. He said that the building should be equipped with modern facilities so that the increasing needs can be met in the coming years.

During the meeting, special emphasis was also laid on parking arrangements. The Secretary directed the officials to ensure adequate parking capacity in view of the increasing activities in future. Besides, necessary furniture, electrical equipment and other basic facilities in the building should also be made a part of the project. He also said that all arrangements should be in accordance with the principles of economy, so that effective utilization of government resources can be ensured.

The Secretary directed that along with the DPR, the report of the site selection committee, the layout approval received from the district authority and other necessary permissions should also be attached, so that there is no delay in the approval process of the project and the construction work can be started soon.

Additional Secretary and State Property Officer Laxman Singh, Deputy Secretary Hanuman Prasad Tiwari and other officers were present in the meeting. Meanwhile, Executive Engineer of Provincial Block Public Works Department, Bageshwar, Eng. S.K. Pandey and Assistant Engineer Eng. Tanisha Pangti presented the project.

Officials say that this state guest house, which will be built in accordance with the developmental thinking of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will not only provide new facilities for administrative activities but will also ensure modern and well-organized residential arrangements for the special guests and officials visiting the district. The government aims to give new impetus to the development of the region by completing this ambitious project in a timely and quality manner.
