Amit Shah Bihar tour: The election battle for Bihar Assembly elections 2025 has reached its decisive turn. On one hand, BJP has released its third list and has completed the announcement of candidates for all 101 seats of its quota, on the other hand, the process of nomination has also intensified. The last date for nomination for the first phase is October 17, so between today and tomorrow most of the big leaders will be seen filing their nominations. In its final list, BJP has given ticket to two big names, famous folk singer Maithili Thakur from Alinagar and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar, due to which the contest on these seats has become very interesting. On the other hand, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has filed nomination for the third time from Raghopur seat, while Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha has filed his nomination from Lakhisarai. From today, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also set out on the election campaign, which will give impetus to the NDA campaign.
Amit Shah on Bihar tour from today: Mission solidarity
After seat distribution and announcement of candidates in the NDA alliance, now Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to take the field. He will be on a three-day tour of Bihar from 16 to 18 October. During this, Shah will address several public meetings, participate in the nomination of party candidates and conduct a detailed review of the election preparations with the leaders of the NDA constituents. BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal said that Amit Shah’s visit is taking place at such an important time when the nomination process and campaign is about to gain full momentum across the state. Shah’s main objective is to energize the BJP workers and convey the message of unbroken unity of the NDA, so that the victory of the alliance can be ensured.
Mahabharata of Mokama: Bahubali Suraj Bhan’s entry in RJD
The most interesting and high-profile contest in Bihar Assembly elections 2025 can be seen from Mokama seat. After resigning from Chirag Paswan’s uncle and Union Minister Pashupati Paras’ Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party, strongman leader and former MP Suraj Bhan Singh on Wednesday joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Tejashwi Yadav got him the membership of the party. According to sources, RJD can make Surajbhan Singh’s wife Veena Devi its candidate from Mokama. Veena Devi is already a member of RJD and is playing an active role in the party. It is being told that she will also file nomination on RJD’s election symbol on Thursday itself. A direct fight between two strongmen on Mokama seat is considered certain, due to which this seat has now come in the center of political headlines.
Still tussle in grand alliance, dissatisfaction in NDA
While NDA is demonstrating unity, the tussle over seat sharing is still going on in the opposition grand alliance. Congress has started announcing the names of candidates on the X handle of its Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee without releasing the official list. The party has declared state president Rajesh Ram as its candidate from Kutumba seat. However, seat sharing talks with other allies including RJD have not been completed yet. On the other hand, voices of dissatisfaction are being raised in the NDA camp also. Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) have expressed displeasure over the seats won by Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Meanwhile, Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishore has made it clear that he himself will not contest the elections this time, but will start campaigning for his candidates.
