Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Political Update, EC to Announce Dates Soon | Bihar elections rapidly faster, this time there may be a big change, EC will announce dates soon. News Track in Hindi

Bihar Election Date: The electoral movement in Bihar politics has now intensified. It is believed that in the first week of October, the Election Commission may announce the dates of the assembly elections. This election is not just a fight between two political alliances, but will be a great war focused on issues like caste mathematics, unemployment and vote theft. On the one hand, for more than 20 years, Nitish Kumar, who has been on the Chief Minister’s chair for more than 20 years, has been relying on his good governance and development models, on the other hand, the opposition coalition led by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav is India, which is preparing to surround the government on these issues.

New ‘Trump Card’ of Ethnic Survey

The most special thing about this election is that this will be the first major political battle in Bihar, which is being fought after the caste survey conducted by the Nitish government in 2023. This survey completely highlighted the social structure of the state. It was revealed that including backward classes and extremely backward classes, 63% of the total population of the state. Subsequently, Nitish Sarkar increased reservation in jobs and education from 50% to 65%, which strengthened his ‘OBC leader’ image even further. However, the Patna High Court stayed this decision, but the move has fixed the direction of the election.

Center’s move and opposition’s difficulties

Interestingly, the BJP, which had been away from the demand for caste census for a long time, also approved the proposal of National Caste Census in April 2025. Analysts believe that this is a well-planned strategy of the BJP, under which it wants to blunt the biggest weapon of the opposition. This step will give the BJP a chance to balance between its traditional upper caste vote bank and OBC voters. Caste has always been a decisive factor in Bihar politics. This time, caste figures and politics of reservation have made this fight even more sharp. The ruling NDA alliance is trying to protect its upper caste vote bank from new parties like Jan Suraj, so that it does not suffer any significant loss.

NDA vs India: What is at stake?

The NDA alliance, including Nitish Kumar and BJP, rely on the message of development and stability. At the same time, the opposition is constantly attacking issues like unemployment, corruption and ‘vote theft’. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is continuously accusing him of ‘vote theft’ in his statewide journey, while RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is making unemployment and migration the center of his politics.

Surveys suggest that more people are worried about unemployment and migration than ‘vote theft’ allegations, and Tejashwi Yadav is trying to capitalize on this. This time the election will actually decide whether the voters of Bihar will vote on the basis of caste equations, or give priority to issues like unemployment and development.
