Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Surajbhan’s Wife Veena Devi to Challenge Strongman Anant Singh | Biggest fight in Bihar elections, Surajbhan's wife will challenge Bahubali Anant Singh, will she clash with RJD? , News Track in Hindi

Surajbhan Singh Wife joins RJD: The most exciting political contest of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 can be seen from Mokama Assembly seat of Patna district. This time, Mokama’s ‘dabang bahubali’ and five-time MLA Anant Singh is going to face a tough challenge directly from former MP Surajbhan Singh. Enraged by an insulting statement by Anant Singh, Suraj Bhan has geared up to get back his political legacy. There is talk that Surajbhan’s wife and former Munger MP Veena Devi may contest from Mokama, and the biggest news is that Surajbhan’s family is going to join Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

Anant Singh’s statement started a new war

The story of dominance on Mokama seat started in 2000, when Surajbhan Singh, despite being in jail, became MLA by defeating Anant Singh’s elder brother Dilip Singh by a huge margin. After Suraj Bhan left Mokama, Anant Singh established his absolute rule on this seat by winning five consecutive elections since 2005. After his release, Anant Singh had said something derogatory about Surajbhan in an interview, which Surajbhan took to heart. After this insult, Surajbhan has decided to fight the battle of Mokama once again and is preparing to field a member of his family. Anant Singh has announced the nomination on October 14 even before the candidate list of Janata Dal United (JDU) comes out, due to which the election heat has increased.

Suraj Bhan and family will join RJD

Surajbhan Singh, who is the chairman of the parliamentary board of RLJP, the party of Pashupati Paras, brother of late socialist leader Ram Vilas Paswan, is now going to join hands with RJD. According to sources, Tejashwi Yadav can get RJD membership on Sunday to other leaders including Surajbhan Singh, former MP wife Veena Devi and former MP brother Chandan Singh. Tejashwi Yadav still needs to resolve the seat distribution of the Grand Alliance, but bringing the Suraj Bhan family into the RJD can prove to be a masterstroke, which can mobilize the upper caste-Bhumihar votes in his favor.

Mokama’s mathematics and the power of the ‘underworld’

Mokama assembly seat is part of Patna district, but falls within the Munger Lok Sabha constituency. The balance of power in the underworld can get a new shape on this seat. Surajbhan’s political influence extends to many districts including Ballia, Munger and Nawada, from where he has made himself, his wife and brother MPs. Now his aim is to take back his political legacy of Mokama. Despite Anant Singh’s support in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, RJD’s Anita Devi had taken a lead of 1079 votes over JDU’s Lalan Singh in Mokama assembly seat, which was a blow to Anant Singh. If Tejashwi Yadav gives ticket to Surajbhan’s wife Veena Devi against Anant Singh in the 2025 assembly elections, then the hottest match among the 243 seats of Bihar will be played on the pitch of Mokama, it is certain. Not only Bihar but the entire country will be keeping an eye on who will prevail in this great contest.
