BJP Yadav Sideline: The political temperature has reached its peak regarding Bihar Assembly elections. Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of candidates for all the 101 seats on its account. This time BJP has got 101 seats in the NDA alliance. JDU has also been given 101 seats, equal to BJP.
While Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has got 29 seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha have got six seats each. BJP has canceled the tickets of MLAs from many sitting seats. There is an internal uproar regarding this. BJP has also canceled the ticket of Aurai MLA Ramsurat Yadav. Saddened by the ticket being cut, Ramsurat’s rebellious attitude came to the fore. He accused BJP of casteism. He says that the party canceled his ticket because he belongs to the Yadav community.
MLA Ramsurat Yadav enumerated the names of all those Yadav leaders in an interview. Whose tickets have been canceled this time by BJP. He said that this time BJP did not give tickets to Pranab Yadav, Pawan Yadav, Nand Kishore Yadav, Ramsurat Yadav, Mishrilal Yadav, Jaiprakash Yadav and Prahlad Yadav. Ramsurat said in a harsh manner that by canceling the tickets of all these, the message has been given that now the party can win the elections even without Yadavs. First Muslims were removed and now Yadavs are being ‘sidelined’.
Mishrilal Yadav left BJP
BJP has canceled the tickets of a total of 17 sitting MLAs in Bihar Assembly elections 2025. In which Alinagar MLA Mishrilal Yadav had already announced his separation from BJP. His ticket has also been cancelled. After Mishrilal left the party, Bhojpuri folk singer Maithili Thakur has been given a chance from Alinagar. On leaving the party, MLA Mishrilal Yadav said that my self-respect is being hurt. I am also being insulted along with the backward and Dalits. BJP is intoxicated with pride.
In 2015, BJP had given tickets to 22 Yadavs.
This time BJP has given tickets to only 6 Yadavs. There were four Yadav candidates in the first list. In the second there was not even one and in the third only two Yadav candidates were named. In the 2020 assembly elections, BJP had fielded 15 Yadavs. Whereas in the year 2015, maximum 22 Yadavs were given opportunity.
The most surprising name in the ticket distribution this time was that of seven-time MLA Nand Kishore Yadav. 72-year-old Nandkishore Yadav was elected MLA from Patna East for the first time in 1995. If we talk about Munger MLA Pranav Yadav, his ticket has also been canceled by BJP. It is believed that the party wanted to give a chance to a new face from this seat. Kahalgaon MLA Pawan Yadav has also been sidelined.
Because this time in the alliance this seat has gone to JDU’s side. JDU has declared Subhanand Mukesh as its candidate from this seat. Interestingly, in the year 2020, Pawan Yadav had defeated Subhanand. He was in Congress then. Subhanand is the son of senior Congress leader Sadanand Singh. He joined JDU in the year 2021.
Prahlad Yadav did not get a chance
BJP has declared Devanti Yadav as its candidate in place of Araria’s Narpatganj MLA Jaiprakash Yadav. At the same time, Prahlad Yadav has also got a deep shock this time because his Suryagarha seat went to JDU’s account this time. In the year 2020, Prahlad Yadav had hoisted the flag on RJD ticket. But he changed sides after the elections and went towards NDA. After the ticket was canceled, he was left disappointed. JDU’s Lalan Singh is considered his staunch opponent. It is believed that he may have become an obstacle in the ticket.
