Bihar Election 2025: The political chessboard has started being laid for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. Nomination of candidates has started. All the political parties are trying their best to make their candidates victorious. At the same time, this time in Bihar elections, there will be conflicts among the relationships among the candidates. Somewhere in the election battle, husband and wife are beating the election beat. So somewhere, three contenders from the same house are trying their luck. At the same time, there are some candidates who have entered the electoral battlefield with the aim of settling past scores.
Husband in one field and wife in another
The election of Nawada Assembly seat of Bihar is interesting. Here the paths of Kaushal Yadav and Rajballabh Yadav always remain opposite. There is no change in the situation in this election also. Rajballabh of Rashtriya Janata Dal has now become an ally of Janata Dal United. JDU’s Kaushal Yadav has joined RJD. Both the leader and his wife have been MLAs. This time Rajballabh’s wife Vibha Devi is the JDU candidate from Nawada assembly seat.
This time RJD has declared Kaushal Yadav as candidate for Nawada and his wife Purnima Yadav has also been declared candidate for Govindpur seat. Govindpur assembly constituency also comes in Nawada district. This is an interesting example of husband and wife entering into political battle on the ticket of the same party in Bihar elections. Along with Kaushal, his wife Purnima has also been MLA four times. This couple had created a unique record by winning the elections together as independent candidates in the year 2005. After winning the elections, the couple started promoting Janata Dal United.
Three claimants from the same family
Arun Kumar has reached Parliament five times from Jehanabad Lok Sabha seat of Bihar. This time in the Bihar Assembly elections, three contenders from his family are trying their luck in the electoral battle. Which includes his brother Anil Kumar, son Rituraj and nephew Romit Kumar. The most interesting thing is that all three have entered the fray from the NDA camp. JDU has made Arun Kumar’s son Rituraj its candidate from Ghosi seat.
This is the first election experience for Rituraj. Therefore, father Arun Kumar is working hard to ensure his son’s victory. Whereas Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum) has placed its stake on Bhai Anil Kumar from Tikari seat. Brother Anil Kumar, who has been MLA four times, is an expert in politics. Therefore, Arun will not have to work hard for them. The third contender of the family is Romit Kumar, whom ‘Hum’ party has declared as its candidate from Atari seat. Romit Kumar has also entered the election fray for the first time.
Preeti became husband’s shield through politics
The election of Motihari assembly seat of East Champaran district headquarters is also unique. Here Municipal Corporation Mayor Preeti has entered the field through politics as her husband’s shield. RJD has fielded her husband Deva Gupta from Motihari seat. BJP has been in control of it for the last several years. Due to this, Preeti has become her husband’s protector and has entered the election battlefield as an independent candidate. She says that she has filed her nomination as an independent candidate from Motihari seat not to oppose her husband, but to dissuade her opponents. Even if the opponents play some trick, at least one of the husband and wife will remain.
Brother will fight brother in election fight
The fight for Jokihat seat will also be worth watching. The politics here once revolved around Taslimuddin. Now both the sons of Taslimuddin are facing each other in the fight for inheritance. RJD has declared Taslimuddin’s younger son MLA Shahnawaz Alam as its candidate. In the last election, Shahnawaz Alam had won on AIMIM ticket. Taslimuddin’s elder son Sarfaraz Alam has also contested from Jan Suraj. Sarfaraz Alam has also been an MP.
