Bihar Election 2025 Malfunction: The biggest festival of democracy has started in Bihar today. Voting for the first phase is going on for 121 assembly seats in 18 districts of the state from 7 am on Thursday. Long queues are visible at the polling stations since morning and tremendous enthusiasm is being seen among the voters. Be it old or young, everyone is coming forward enthusiastically to exercise their franchise. However, in the meantime a big shock has been received, which has created an uproar.

Voting stopped in these districts due to EVM malfunction

1. In the initial hours of voting, technical problems were seen at booth number 196 of Danapur assembly constituency. According to the information, shortly after the start of voting, there was a malfunction in the EVM machine, due to which voting had to be stopped for some time. Polling officials immediately informed the Election Commission and a new machine was ordered. Voting resumed shortly after quick action by the technical team.

2. An EVM malfunctioned at booth number 334 and 335 in Lalganj in Vaishali district, after which voting was stopped. Meanwhile, voters created a ruckus and raised slogans of “vote theft”.

3. Similar problems were reported from booth number 153 in Darbhanga and a booth in Raghopur, where voting had to be stopped temporarily.

4. There was a problem with the EVM at booth number 316 of Bakhtiyarpur, due to which long queues of voters were formed waiting for the voting to start.

5. News of technical problems in EVM machines also came from Madhepura and Raghopur.

6. At three booths of Gaighat assembly constituency of Muzaffarpur – numbers 161, 162 and 170, local people boycotted voting demanding construction of roads and bridges.

Youth arrested with one lakh rupees cash in Darbhanga

Meanwhile, big news has come out from Darbhanga. The Election Commission’s monitoring team has arrested a youth with Rs 1 lakh in cash. It is feared that this amount was brought with the aim of influencing the voters. Police have registered the case and started investigation.

3.75 crore voters are preparing to celebrate democracy

In the first phase, a total of more than 3 crore 75 lakh voters are exercising their franchise today. These include 1.96 crore men, 1.79 crore women, and 1,027 third gender voters. 45,341 polling stations have been set up across the state, at which voting will continue till 5 pm. Security arrangements are tight at polling stations and police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at every booth.

The credibility of veterans is at stake, their fate will be locked in the ballot boxes.

In today’s voting, the future of 1314 candidates will be sealed in the ballot boxes. The reputation of many political bigwigs is at stake in these elections. Talking about major seats, veterans like Tejashwi Yadav from Raghopur, Tej Pratap Yadav from Hasanpur, Anant Singh from Mokama, Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakhisarai, and Samrat Chaudhary from Parsa are in the fray.
