Dehradun: In Dehradun district, the Chief Electoral Officer has taken a strict stance on the misbehavior with the booth level officer engaged in special intensive revision work. The Chief Electoral Officer has given strict instructions to all the District Election Officers that if cases like misbehavior by anti-social elements with any BLO come to light, then strict action should be taken against them.
Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam said that at present the work of special intensive revision is going on in the state. In such a situation, booth level officers are doing this work with hard work. He said that incidents like misbehavior with BLOs by anti-social elements work to demoralize the field staff.
The Chief Electoral Officer has appealed to the voters of the state that all citizens should cooperate with the BLOs and field staff deployed in the special intensive verification campaign.
