Uttarakhand News: The 24th meeting of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) was held at IHM Auditorium, Garhi Cantt under the chairmanship of Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj.
Many important proposals related to tourism sector were discussed in detail in the meeting and most of the proposals were approved. Special emphasis was laid on trekking, adventure tourism, employment generation and development of tourism infrastructure in the meeting.
New employment opportunities will open for local youth
Satpal Maharaj said that with the implementation of these proposals, local youth will get new employment opportunities and trekking and adventure tourism activities of the state will further improve.
Emphasis on promoting trekking and adventure tourism
In a special conversation with IANS, the Minister said that today was our 24th meeting, which was very important. Trekking and adventure tourism were discussed in detail. Promoting these activities will not only strengthen the tourism sector of the state but will also enhance it.
Number of devotees in Chardham Yatra created a new record
Expressing satisfaction over the figures of Chardham Yatra, he said that this time the yatra has touched a record level. 5 lakh 76 thousand 559 devotees visited Yamunotri, while 6 lakh 6 thousand 583 devotees visited Gangotri. 12 lakh 42 thousand 917 devotees got darshan in Kedarnath Dham and 11 lakh 28 thousand 550 devotees got darshan in Badrinath Dham. 96 thousand 152 devotees reached Hemkund Sahib. Overall, 36 lakh 50 thousand 761 devotees visited the Chardham Yatra.
Suggestion to go on a trip after taking doctor’s advice
He appealed to the devotees, “Go on the journey after consulting the doctors. Make sure to take a halt somewhere during the journey. Travel by taking some rest and taking rest. Give priority to health.”
Administration made elaborate arrangements for Chardham Yatra
The enthusiasm of the devotees in the holy Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand is continuously increasing. Especially the number of devotees arriving for darshan at Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham is creating new records.
