Chhattisgarh olympics: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the annual general meeting of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association in the Circuit House Auditorium in the capital Raipur. In the meeting, the audit report of the year 2024-25 was approved, along with the budget of 2025-26 was approved. Apart from this, the appointment of new auditor and many other important issues was also discussed.
Olympic players will get a big encouragement
During the program, Chief Minister and Association President Vishnu Dev Sai made a big announcement for the players. He informed that the players who participated in the Olympics from Chhattisgarh will now be given an incentive of Rs 21 lakh. CM said that there is no dearth of sports talent in the state. The government is continuously working to pursue these talents and get identity. He also informed that the first closed sports ornamentation ceremony has been resumed and soon excellent player honor ceremony will also be held.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the government is working continuously to promote sports in Chhattisgarh. Recently new sports complex has been started under Khelo India in the state. Some time ago Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia also came to Chhattisgarh, where the expansion of the game infrastructure was discussed. CM Sai said that the players who won the gold medal from Chhattisgarh in the Olympic Games will be given Rs 3 crore, Rs 2 crore to those who win the silver medal and Rs 1 crore to the bronze medal winners. He said that this decision will increase both the enthusiasm and confidence of the players.
Bastar Olympic became a source of identity of players
The Chief Minister further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed India for hosting the 2036 Olympic Games, in which Ahmedabad has been considered a possible place. This is a matter of pride for the country and in the coming time, India will be able to touch new heights in the world of sports. Similarly, in Chhattisgarh, work will have to be done for organizing national level competitions. Addressing the program, Cabinet Minister and Union Vice President Kedar Kashyap said that Bastar Olympics have started on the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. This competition has given a golden opportunity to the sports talents of remote areas to come out and show their potential.
