Chhattisgarh News: Vishnudev Sai government of Chhattisgarh has given the biggest gift to more than 25 lakh farmers of the state even before Diwali. In the state cabinet meeting held on Friday, a historic decision has been taken to purchase paddy at the rate of ₹ 3100 per quintal. This announcement will not only bring a big increase in the income of farmers, but preparations have also been made to make the process of paddy procurement completely digital and transparent. Along with this, the government has also taken many other important decisions by doubling the amount of financial assistance to the artists and writers of the state.

Paddy purchase of ₹3100 per quintal, payment in 7 days

Many major decisions were taken for the farmers in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. Paddy procurement will start from 15 November 2025 and will continue till 31 January 2026. The government has assured that farmers will be paid within six to seven days after the sale of paddy, which will reduce their financial problems. To increase transparency in paddy procurement, this time farmer registration on e-KYC and Agristech portal has been made mandatory. Farmers can register themselves till 31 October 2025.

Freedom from long queues: ‘Tunhar Haath’ mobile app

To save farmers from standing in long queues in societies, the government has taken a new initiative. The government has launched ‘Tunhar Haath’ mobile app. Through this app, farmers will be able to choose their preferred day as per their convenience and take tokens online to sell paddy. The procurement process has been linked to a biometric authentication system to ensure paddy is procured only from genuine farmers. For better monitoring of paddy procurement, ‘Integrated Command and Control Centre’ will be set up in the Markfed office, and control rooms will also be set up in the districts. A total of 2739 procurement centers have been established across the state. Apart from this, special investigation teams will be formed to stop illegal arrivals from the border states.

Artists and writers got big relief

Vishnudev Sai cabinet has given big relief to the artists and writers of the state in compliance with the announcement made in the assembly session. Chhattisgarh Artists Fund Rule 1982, run by the Culture Department, has been amended to provide financial assistance to writers and artists and their dependents who are suffering from lack of funds. Under this, now the artists of the state will be given maximum assistance of ₹ 50 thousand instead of ₹ 25 thousand. Apart from this, it has been decided to provide financial assistance of ₹1 lakh in case of death of the artist.

Focus on skill development and health care of youth

In this meeting, important decisions were also taken to improve the future and health services of the youth. It has been decided to enter into an MoU with the National Stock Exchange under the Student Skills Program (SSP) to provide the youth of the state with the necessary knowledge in the field of financial markets, investment instruments and financial planning. This training will be conducted for high school, higher secondary school and college students. It has been decided to allot additional five acres of land free of cost to Satya Sai Health and Education Trust for the purpose of health services in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. It is clear from these decisions of Chief Minister Sai that the government is working together on key areas like farmers, artists, youth and health care.
