Chhattisgarh News: There has been bloodshed once again in Naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Naxalites have brutally murdered Poonam Satyam, a local BJP worker under the Aided Area Committee. This incident has created an atmosphere of fear and tension in the entire area, which has again raised questions on the security system in the state.
Allegation of ‘informer’ behind the murder
According to the information, Naxalites carried out this incident by seriously accusing Poonam Satyam of being an informer. After this incident in Naxal-affected Madded police station area, the Naxalites also threw a pamphlet near the dead body. It is clearly written in this pamphlet that punishment has been given for whistleblowing.
Police sources said that Poonam Satyam was the target of Naxalites for the last several days and now the Aided Area Committee itself has taken the responsibility of her murder. Although the police have not yet officially confirmed the entire matter, villagers said that some armed people were seen near the village last night, which has deepened the suspicion of Naxal involvement.
‘Attack on democracy’: BJP condemns
Local BJP leaders have strongly condemned this heinous murder. He described the incident as a “direct attack on democracy” and said that Naxalites are trying to disrupt the democratic process by forcibly spreading terror. This incident once again shows that in sensitive areas like Bijapur, Naxalites are still trying to spread terror by targeting rural and local political workers. It has been reported that the Madhya Pradesh Area Committee has already taken responsibility for the killing of many civilians and political workers. Immediately after the incident, security agencies have launched intensive search operations in the entire area to locate possible hideouts of Naxalites and restore peace in the area.
