Raipur. Tributes were paid to martyred police personnel on the occasion of Police Memorial Day in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. On this occasion, Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Home Minister Vijay Sharma reached the Police Martyrs Memorial in Raipur and offered floral tributes to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives while protecting the motherland.

Governor Ramen Deka said that the courage, discipline and loyalty of the police and security forces are the foundation of peace and stability in the state. He said, “The valor and sacrifice of our police force can never be forgotten. Chhattisgarh Police has bravely faced the challenge of Naxalism. Today, the atmosphere of peace and trust in the state is the result of this dedication. In the future, our state will be completely free from the problem of Naxalism.” He also appealed to the people to adopt a cooperative and sensitive approach towards the police.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the security forces of Chhattisgarh have shown unprecedented courage and determination against Naxalism. Today, development work is going on at a rapid pace in the Naxal affected areas of the state. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the campaign for complete eradication of Naxalism has intensified. “We are moving ahead with the resolve to make Chhattisgarh a Naxalism-free state by March 2026,” Chief Minister Sai said.

While paying tribute to the martyred police personnel, the Chief Minister said that their sacrifice will always remain immortal and will continue to inspire the coming generations for duty, discipline and dedication. He said that October 21 is the day when we remember the police personnel who sacrifice their lives for the security of the country. Police and security forces remain ready to protect the society 24 hours in every situation.

On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister met the families of the martyred police personnel and expressed their condolences and presented mementos to them. Senior officers of the police force, soldiers and martyr families were present during the program.
