Raipur, Chhattisgarh: This year, the Rajyotsava ceremony to be organized in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, is going to be very special. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest of this grand ceremony. The Prime Minister will reach Raipur on the night of 31st October, for which preparations have been intensified in administrative, police and municipal corporation circles regarding arrangements and security.
Collector took important meeting, gave strict instructions
Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh took an important meeting of all the top officials of the district on Wednesday to take stock of the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit. The Collector gave clear instructions that any kind of negligence regarding the Prime Minister’s visit will not be tolerated. Assigning their responsibilities to all the departments, he asked them to complete every work within the stipulated time and with high quality.
The Collector stressed on better coordination between the departments so that there is no inconvenience during the PM’s stay. He also directed that the minute-to-minute schedule of the Prime Minister should be strictly followed and all activities should be rehearsed in advance to deal with any possible problem. The Collector instructed the officials to give regular reports of updates related to PM’s stay to the administration.
SSP Dr. Lal Ummed Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep, Additional Collector Namrata Jain (IAS), District Panchayat CEO Kumar Bishwaranjan and senior police and district administration officials were present in the meeting.
PM’s night stay in M-01 bungalow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schedule to reach Raipur is almost finalised. They will reach Raipur on the evening of 31st October and will stay overnight at M-01 bungalow in Naya Raipur. This bungalow is currently allotted to Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Raman Singh. Keeping in mind the PM’s stay, the work of cleaning, decorating the bungalow, and especially making the bedroom and dining area modern and safe, is going on at a fast pace. The administrative team and security agencies are continuously inspecting the bungalow.
Special forces deployed for security
The police department has prepared its strategy regarding the security of the Prime Minister. Special forces are being deployed for security at M-01 bungalow. Along with this, the work of repairing and cleaning all the roads from Naya Raipur to the Rajyotsav venue is going on war footing.
Security has been increased in key areas of the city, and intelligence agencies have also become active. Plans are underway to deploy drone surveillance, bomb squads and special surveillance teams in the security arrangements.
The grandeur of this year’s Rajyotsav will further increase with the presence of Prime Minister Modi. The state government is leaving no stone unturned to make this event historic and memorable. A special stage is being prepared to welcome the PM, in which the culture, art and achievements of Chhattisgarh will be showcased.
