Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in the Diwali Milan ceremony organized at the BJP state office in Dehradun. On this occasion, he inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp and also participated in the worship organized on the occasion of Diwali.

Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Mr. Mahendra Bhatt, Mr. Naresh Bansal, MLA Mr. Suresh Gadhiya, Mr. Khajan Das and many MLAs, state officials, workers and various officials of the organization were present in the program. While extending hearty congratulations and best wishes to everyone on this auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Chief Minister said that this festival is a symbol of light, harmony, prosperity and positivity.

Dhami said that this festival of Diwali also has special importance for the economic and social development of the country. He said that the Next Generation GST has been implemented by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which has further simplified the business environment across the country. He said that due to reduction in GST rates, this Diwali is being celebrated as “Maha Bachat Utsav”, which has brought huge benefits to the traders as well as the consumers.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon the countrymen to adopt Swadeshi and build a self-reliant India. Today India is no longer just a big market, but is being established as an emerging global economic power. He said that recently the Prime Minister of Britain has also said that India is moving towards becoming the world’s largest economic power by the year 2028. The Chief Minister said that we should take forward the Prime Minister’s resolution of “Vocal for Local” by adopting indigenous products. This will not only strengthen the economy of the country but will also provide employment opportunities to lakhs of youth. He said that the state government is also continuously working to make Uttarakhand self-reliant, strong and prosperous as per the vision of the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister called upon all the people present to spread the resolve of self-reliant India to every person.

While wishing Diwali to the people of the state, CM Dhami has called upon them to celebrate the festival with harmony and cleanliness.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended warm wishes for Diwali to all the citizens of the state. He has appealed to the people to celebrate this festival with cleanliness, environmental protection and mutual harmony. The Chief Minister also called for active cooperation of all citizens in the progress and sustainable development journey of the state.

People from all over the state including ministers, MLAs, Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Police (IPS) and Forestry Services (IFS) officers met Chief Minister Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday and congratulated him on Diwali.

The Chief Minister personally greeted all the visitors and expressed his best wishes for the festival to them and their families.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Dhami, while highlighting the importance of Diwali, said that this festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and truth over untruth. He said that this festival gives us the message of spreading light, purity and positive energy in the society. The Chief Minister expressed hope that this holy festival of Diwali will bring new hope, prosperity and happiness in the lives of the people of the state.

It is clear from this call of the Chief Minister that the state government is emphasizing on celebrating Diwali this year with traditional enthusiasm as well as social and environmental responsibility.
