Dehradun. While the holy Chardham Yatra is at its last stop in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued important instructions regarding disaster management and the upcoming Foundation Day program.
Chardham Yatra formally ends
After providing darshan to nearly 50 lakh devotees, this year’s Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand is going to formally end. The doors of Gangotri Dham will be closed today (on the occasion of Annakoot), after which tomorrow (23 October) the doors of Kedarnath Dham and Yamunotri Dham will also be closed for winter. Now during winter season devotees will be able to have darshan of these deities in Mukhwa and Kharsali.
CM Dhami’s instructions for disaster affected areas
Chief Minister Dhami has given strict instructions to all the District Magistrates regarding construction and reconstruction works in the disaster affected areas. He has instructed the officials to repair the damaged roads as soon as possible. The Chief Minister has stressed that road construction works in disaster areas should be completed on priority basis, so that life can become normal.
Possible visit of PM Modi on Uttarakhand Foundation Day
Uttarakhand Foundation Day celebrations will be celebrated grandly on 9th November at Devbhoomi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Dehradun on this occasion. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sought time from the Prime Minister to inaugurate the grand military base built in Guniyal village of Dehradun on November 9. This military base has been built from the sacred soil of the courtyard of 1,734 martyrs, which will become a symbol of bravery, valor and sacrifice of the state.
