Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday participated in the program organized in the state’s summer capital Gairsain (Bharadisain) to commemorate the Silver Jubilee year of Uttarakhand. During the program organized in the Assembly premises, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyrs of the statehood movement. On this occasion, he also honored the state agitators by covering them with a shawl. During the program, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development schemes worth Rs 142.25 crore of the district, which includes the inauguration of 27 development schemes worth Rs 43.63 crore and the foundation stone of 33 development schemes worth Rs 98.62 crore.

The Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up by various departments at the venue. The Chief Minister also honored people who have done commendable work in sports, education, agriculture and other fields. During the program, ITBP, IRB, Civil Police, Home Guards, Mahila Rakshi, Civil Police/Fire Service and NCC Women Contingent displayed a spectacular military parade to the tune of the band of 46th Corps PAC. The Chief Minister also inspected the religious parade.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while congratulating the people of the state on the silver jubilee of the establishment of Uttarakhand, paid emotional tribute to the brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice in the defense of the country and all the immortal martyrs and state agitators who sacrificed everything for the development of the state of Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done the work of enhancing the prestige of the state by participating in the main program of the Silver Jubilee year of Uttarakhand. During this period, he has also gifted development projects worth more than Rs 8,200 crore to the state and has also set targets for the development of the state.

The Chief Minister said that continuous work is being done by the state government to make Uttarakhand the spiritual capital of the world. For the development of pilgrimage in the state, the work of revival and beautification of the mythological temples located in Kedarkhand and Manaskhand is being done at a fast pace. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also emotionally remembered Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. He said that along with giving us a new state, Atal ji had given new direction and strength to the state by providing a special industrial package.

The Chief Minister said that various development schemes are being run by the state government for the development of Gairsain. By adopting Sarkot village, work is being done to develop the village as a model village in coordination with the villagers and departments. Besides, work is being done to develop the state by planning new policies and schemes for the overall development of the state. The result is that Uttarakhand state is today being known as the leading state in many schemes of the country. The growth rate of the state has increased rapidly and the income of farmers is increasing. There has been a decrease of 4.4 percent in unemployment in the state. Uttarakhand has got first place in the country in the Sustainable Development Index and has also got the Most Film Friendly State Award. With the support of the Central Government, the state is continuously progressing in the fields of infrastructure, education, health, air and rail connectivity. He said that the economy of the state is being strengthened by promoting Mandir Mala Mission, One District One Fair Scheme and adventure tourism.

The Chief Minister said that strict land law has been implemented in the state. Land mafia has been curbed by implementing land law. Transparency in recruitment examinations has been ensured by implementing strict anti-copying laws. The Chief Minister said that the State has played a leading role in realizing the Prime Minister’s mantra of “Local to Global”. During this, he talked about preparing DPR of master plan and working to develop Gairsain and surrounding areas on the lines of smart city. He also announced to connect Chaukhutia, Jyotirmath and Ghanshali with the UDAN scheme.
