Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the program of Surya Shashthi Vrat Mahotsav (Chhath Puja) organized by Purvanchal Seva Samiti at Sanjay Railway Park, Khatima. After reaching the programme, the Chief Minister offered Arghya to the setting sun. He wished for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the state. Chhath Puja is not just a religious ritual, but it is a great festival of life values ​​and family rituals. This festival also tells us about the importance of nature and environment. He said that Chhath Mahaparva is also a direct proof of the great culture of India, in which Arghya is offered to the rising sun as well as the setting sun, which is a unique experience in itself. The special thing about Chhath festival is that this festival of folk faith is celebrated by people of every class and region with utmost devotion. Be it Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh or our Uttarakhand, today Chhath is being celebrated with uninterrupted faith in the entire country.

Chief Minister Dhami said that under the able leadership and guidance of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the glory of India’s development and eternal culture is visible everywhere today. He said that our government is also continuously working for the all-round development of Devbhoomi by taking inspiration from respected Modi ji. Khatima is my home and you all are my family, it is from here that I started the journey of public service, and every street, every village of this area is close to my heart. He said that our government has taken many important steps to strengthen the infrastructure in Khatima ranging from health, education, drinking water. On the one hand, we have strengthened the basic facilities by constructing a hi-tech bus stand, modern ITI and Polytechnic College and a new 100-bed hospital complex in Khatima. Along with giving impetus to industrial development, a national level state-of-the-art sports stadium has also been constructed to hone the sports talent of the youth.

The Chief Minister said that to improve the connectivity in the area, we have constructed Gadarpur and Khatima bypass, bridge at Nausar as well as developed extensive network of roads in the entire area. Not only this, recently our government has also announced to build a grand military memorial between Khatima and Tanakpur, work on which will start soon. He said that while on one hand we have started M.Com and MSc classes in Government College Khatima, on the other hand Eklavya Vidyalaya is also being run in the tribal dominated area. He said that there will be no let down in the development of Khatima in future also. Our government is continuously working with full commitment for the welfare of every section of the state. The result of this is that today our state has reached the first position in the entire country in achieving the goals of sustainable development in the SDG Index report of NITI Aayog. Besides, we have also emerged as a leading state in providing employment to the youth. We have succeeded in reducing the unemployment rate by a record 4.4 percent in one year, which is higher than the national average.

Chief Minister Dhami said that our government is fully committed to preserving the cultural values ​​and demography of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. With this determination, while on one hand we have ensured strict action against heinous mentalities like Land Jihad, Love Jihad and Spit Jihad in the state, we have also implemented strict anti-riot and anti-conversion laws in the state. He said that by taking strict action against land jihad in the state, we have freed more than nine thousand acres of government land from land jihadists. Along with this, more than 250 illegal madrassas have been sealed and more than 500 illegal structures have also been removed. He said that we have also started “Operation Kalanemi” in the state through which we are taking strict action against the hypocrites who defame Sanatan Dharma in the state. Apart from this, we have also taken many historic decisions in the interest of the state, which the previous governments used to shelve in the interest of their own political interests.

The Chief Minister said that while on one hand we have taken a strong step towards building a harmonious society by implementing the Uniform Civil Code law in the state, on the other hand, we have worked to break the backbone of the copying mafia by implementing a strict anti-copying law, as a result of which today more than 26 thousand youth of the state have got government jobs. He said that we are also working under the policy of “Zero Tolerance” to eradicate the termite of corruption from the state. The result of this is that in the last four years we have put more than 200 people involved in corruption behind bars. He said that our government is continuously making efforts to fulfill its “optionless resolution” to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand the best state of the country. And I have full faith that today with the blessings of Chhathi Maiya and Lord Surya Narayan and the cooperation of all of you, our resolution will definitely be fulfilled. District Panchayat President Ajay Maurya and Municipality President Ramesh Chandra Joshi also addressed the program and congratulated everyone on the occasion of Chhath festival.
