CM Dhami Urges Vocal for Local on Diwali, Promotes Self-Reliance. CM Dhami said- Celebrate Diwali of self-reliant India, adopt 'Vocal for Local'. News Track in Hindi

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended warm wishes to the people of the state for the five-day Diwali festival from Dhanteras to Bhaiya Dooj. He wished that this ‘Festival of Lights’ brings happiness, peace, prosperity and health in the lives of the people of the state.

From health to prosperity

Underlining the importance of Dhanteras, the Chief Minister said that this festival is a day of worship of Lord Dhanvantari, the god of health, and he wished good health for all.

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, he said that this festival is not only a symbol of enthusiasm and joy but also of self-reliance and self-respect. CM Dhami prayed that with the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, there should be wealth, glory, fame and prosperity in everyone’s life.

Explaining the deep meaning of Diwali, CM Dhami said that this festival gives the message of truth, goodwill and dignity. He said, “This festival of lights symbolizes the victory of good over evil and light over darkness, which is also associated with the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile.”

Govardhan Puja and brother-sister love

The Chief Minister described Govardhan Puja as a symbol of protection of the economic and cultural resources of the society and the country. Along with this, he especially congratulated women on Bhaiya Dooj and said that this festival reflects the mutual love between brothers and sisters and respect for maternal power.

Dhami’s call: Light the lamp of happiness with ‘Vocal for Local’

On this festival, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called for imbibing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Adopt Swadeshi’. He stressed that by promoting indigenous and local products this Diwali, we can not only fulfill the resolve of self-reliant India but also directly benefit the local artisans, cottage industries and women self-help groups.

CM praised the rich tradition of artisans of Uttarakhand. He said, “Our earthen lamps, handmade decorative items, organic products and mountain foods are not only gaining recognition in the country and abroad, but also reflect our skills.”

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to illuminate their homes with indigenous products this Diwali, so that the lamps of happiness can be lit in the homes of other families too.
