Uttarakhand news: Of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the market today, on 24 September, on Wednesday, under the public awareness program for wide publicity of “Swadeshi Apnao” and new GST rates at Kunawala Bazaar in Dehradun. MLA Brij Bhushan Garola was also present on the occasion.
During this, Chief Minister Dhami interacted with shopkeepers and local citizens and informed them about the benefits of use of indigenous products and new rates recently implemented in the tax system.
What did CM Dhami say?
Chief Minister Dhami said that adopting indigenous products is not only an important step towards self -reliant India, but it also increases employment opportunities for local artisans, small scale industries and youth. He further called upon the people to use more and more indigenous items in daily life and reduce dependence on foreign products.
Swadeshi adoption campaign will be successful with active participation- CM Dhami
The Chief Minister said that the amendment of the rates is to simplify the convenience and business activities of the general public. He further said that the economy of the state will get momentum through transparent and simple tax system. He said that the “Swadeshi adoption” campaign will get widespread success and the state’s economic condition will further strengthen with public awareness and active participation of the people.
