CM Pushkar Singh Dhami: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented appointment letters to 182 candidates selected in the PCS Main Examination-2024 conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission and 5 candidates selected for the post of Personal Assistant in the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department in a program organized at the Chief Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister Camp Office on Friday.

On this occasion, while congratulating all the newly selected candidates, the Chief Minister said that this appointment letter is not just a document of entry into government service, but is a symbol of the faith, expectations and resolve of public service of 1.25 crore people of Uttarakhand. He said that now every officer will not be identified by his post, but by his working style, sensitivity and dedication towards public service.

The Chief Minister said that about one and a half lakh candidates had applied for the Uttarakhand PCS Main Examination-2024 and more than 71 thousand candidates appeared in the examination, out of which only 182 candidates were selected. He said that this success is the result of the talent, hard work, discipline and determination of the selected candidates.

The Chief Minister said that the meaning of office in democracy is not to rule, but to serve the people. The state government is working with the mantra of simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction. He called upon the newly selected officers to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and services reach the last person of the society with sensitivity and transparency. He said that every citizen coming from remote areas should experience respect, trust and timely solution in the government office.

The Chief Minister said that the state government implemented the country’s most stringent anti-cheating law to ensure complete transparency in recruitment processes. As a result, the confidence of the youth towards recruitment examinations has been strengthened. He said that in the last four and a half years, the state government has provided appointment to more than 34 thousand youth in government services with complete transparency and fairness. Today, with 187 more youth joining this campaign, the youth-friendly commitment of the state government has become stronger.

The Chief Minister said that the aim of the state government is to provide opportunities to every youth of Uttarakhand as per his talent and ability, so that the youth are not forced to go out of the state in search of employment. He said that the state government is continuously working to make both mountain water and mountain youth the biggest forces for the development of Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand from the holy land of Baba Kedar. The newly selected officers will play an important role in realizing this resolution. He said that the government makes policies, but it is the responsibility of the officers and employees to implement them effectively. He called upon all the officers to work with full dedication, honesty and dedication for building a developed Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister said that the state government will stand firmly with every officer and employee working with honesty and impartiality. He called upon the officers to discharge their responsibilities free from any kind of pressure, giving top priority to the Constitution, law and public interest.
