Uttarakhand News: The Chief Minister said that the mythological temples of Maa Dhari Devi and Lord Kamleshwar Mahadev located in Srinagar Garhwal are the priceless heritage of entire Uttarakhand. This fair, organized every year on the occasion of Baikuntha Chaturdashi, is a symbol of faith and rich cultural folk traditions. He said that such traditional fairs help us connect with our roots. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is taking forward the all-round development of the state. Infrastructure is being strengthened in many areas including education, health, drinking water and connectivity in the state. Along with the development of the state, cultural and religious heritage is also being preserved. Reconstruction work is going on in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham under the master plan. The work of Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line is going on at a fast pace.

Chief Minister informed about various development schemes and improvement of rail connectivity in Srinagar.

The Chief Minister said that with the completion of Rishikesh Karnaprayag railway line, rail connectivity with Srinagar and the entire Garhwal region will be strengthened. Many development works are also being carried out by the state government in Srinagar area. Roadways bus station and parking have been constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore 88 lakh. Construction work of Ganga Culture Center on the banks of Alaknanda River, Srinagar Municipality has been made a Municipal Corporation. Madhi-Chauras-Jakhri Pumping Drinking Water Scheme is also being constructed at a cost of more than Rs. 37 crores. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is planning to establish a new township in the area adjacent to Belkedar and Belkandi road of Srinagar, providing sewerage system to all the localities falling under the purview of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, construction of Trident Park, development of the old Collectorate building as a heritage building, construction of Dhari Devi Temple walking path. Work has also been done on various development schemes like construction and beautification of Gola Park.

Chief Minister announces education, health and development schemes in Srinagar

The Chief Minister said that this city of temples is very important from religious, historical and educational point of view. Srinagar is also emerging as the hub of education in the state, in view of this, the state government is also constructing a paramedical college and nursing college here, for which the land acquisition work is in the final stage. A critical care block is being constructed in the base hospital at a cost of Rs 25 crore, which will benefit thousands of patients from Pauri as well as Chamoli, Tehri and Rudraprayag districts. On this occasion, Mayor Mrs. Aarti Bhandari, District Magistrate Mrs. Swati Bhadauria and other dignitaries were present.
