Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami was warmly welcomed by local public representatives, senior administrative officials and citizens on his arrival in Haldwani on Monday. On reaching Circuit House, Haldwani, Commissioner Kumaon Mr. Deepak Rawat and Deputy Inspector General of Police (IG) Kumaon Mrs. Riddhima Aggarwal welcomed the Chief Minister. After this, Chief Minister Shri Dhami established direct communication with the public in the auditorium of Circuit House and listened to their problems, complaints and suggestions. Representatives from different areas, social organizations, business organizations, women’s groups, youth, farmers and common citizens informed the Chief Minister about the problems of the people of their respective areas.

During the public hearing, the Chief Minister said that the state government is working in accordance with the public sentiments and the aim of the government is to ensure speedy solution to every problem of the public. He instructed the officers to take serious cognizance of every case received in the public hearing and dispose of it quickly. The Chief Minister also said that it is the responsibility of all the officers to ensure that the benefits of all the public welfare schemes of the government reach the eligible beneficiaries without any discrimination. He said that solving the problems of the people is the priority of the government. The administrative system will have to become more sensitive and accountable as per the convenience of the common citizens.

Chief Minister Shri Dhami instructed the officials that the pace of development works should be accelerated, pending cases should be resolved quickly and government schemes should be implemented as per the expectations of the people. He said that the aim of the government is to establish a transparent governance system, in which the common man does not have to approach the administration again and again. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also issued instructions to the concerned departmental officers to resolve some complaints on the spot. He told the people present that the state government stands with every citizen and is continuously working towards taking the government to the doorsteps of the people.

He said that the resolution of “Double Engine Government” is to make Uttarakhand a leading state, and for this public participation is necessary at every level. The Chief Minister also mentioned that direct communication with the public is a symbol of the transparent and sensitive functioning of the state government. On this occasion, District Panchayat President Mrs. Deepa Darmwal, MLA Kaladhungi Mr. Banshidhar Bhagat, MLA Lalkuan Dr. Mohan Singh Bisht, MLA Bhimtal Mr. Ramsingh Kaida, MLA Ramnagar Mr. Diwan Singh Bisht, BJP District President Mr. Pratap Bisht, various officials in the state government, Commissioner Kumaon Mr. Deepak Rawat, IG Mrs. Riddhima Aggarwal, In-charge District Magistrate Mrs. Anamika and many public representatives, officers and senior citizens were present. A large number of citizens were present.

There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the general public in Haldwani due to the arrival of Chief Minister Shri Dhami. Citizens described the Chief Minister’s public relations program as a symbol of his sensitivity towards the public and his commitment towards public interest.
