Jharkhand: During the Business-to-Government (B2G) dialogue organized on the second day of the two-day National Stakeholders Consultation-2026 organized by the Jharkhand Government, Chief Minister Hemant Soren held several important meetings with major industry organizations, global investors and corporate delegations from India and abroad. In these meetings, detailed discussions were held on the possibilities of cooperation in various areas of tourism, manufacturing, green energy, health, skill development, industrial infrastructure and investment.
The delegation led by Singapore’s High Commissioner to India Simon Wong Wee Kuen expressed keen interest in establishing a long-term partnership with Jharkhand. In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on attracting investment, setting up world-class skill centers and centers of excellence, adopting Singapore’s successful vocational training model, industry and skill mapping and cooperation in the field of health, medical education and research. The delegation also shared views on medical education, research, hospital infrastructure and possibilities of partnership with reputed health institutions. Also proposed to identify priority areas by conducting comprehensive mapping of the state’s industries, workforce and skill requirements and prepare a targeted roadmap for investment and capacity building. Welcoming these suggestions, the Chief Minister assured to prepare a well-organized action plan for future partnership.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) delegation presented investment proposals in Jharkhand in the fields of solar and wind energy, smart metering, transmission infrastructure, grid modernization, solar cell and module manufacturing and digital energy management. Appreciating these proposals, the Chief Minister assured continuous dialogue and cooperation to accelerate green energy based industrial development in the state.
The FICCI delegation gave suggestions to develop tourism infrastructure, destination management, trained local tourist guides, improvement in hospitality sector and better connectivity system to make Jharkhand a major center for nature tourism, destination wedding, sports tourism and MICE tourism. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to making tourism a powerful medium for employment generation and economic development.
EaseMyTrip delegation announced the signing of an MoU with the Government of Jharkhand for tourism promotion. The company shared plans to bring leading travel influencers and digital content creators to Jharkhand to promote the state’s natural beauty, cultural heritage and tourist destinations nationally and internationally. Welcoming this initiative, the Chief Minister assured full cooperation from the state government.
MakeMyTrip representatives also expressed their desire to partner with the state government in promoting the tourist destinations of Jharkhand through its digital platform and extensive marketing network, so that the tourism potential of the state can be widely recognized.
The Chief Minister also held detailed discussions with representatives of Hero Cycles and Avon Cycles on the establishment of bicycle and e-cycle manufacturing units in Jharkhand. He said that the state government will provide all possible support to investors through industry-friendly policies, adequate industrial land, strong steel-based industrial ecosystem, better logistics and skilled human resources. The meeting discussed the possibilities of developing an integrated manufacturing ecosystem and creating large-scale employment through potential investments ranging from ₹500 crore to ₹1,000 crore.
In the meeting, FICCI Tourism Federation proposed to develop international standards golf course and golf tourism center in Ranchi. Expressing the commitment of the state government to provide suitable land for this project, the Chief Minister said that this will promote sports tourism, give new impetus to the hospitality and real estate sector, generate employment opportunities and Jharkhand will emerge more strongly on the national and international tourism map. The delegation agreed to take this project forward in collaboration with the state government.
During the meetings, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the Jharkhand government is committed to creating a conducive environment for investment in the state through industry-friendly policies and constant dialogue. He expressed confidence that the suggestions and possible partnerships received from these meetings will play an important role in taking Jharkhand to new heights in the fields of investment, industry, tourism, green energy and sustainable economic development.
