Jharkhand News: Jharkhand government has taken many important decisions to provide relief to the people and employees of the state. A total of several proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. These include increasing compensation for the families of those who lost their lives in wild animal attacks to advance salary facility for government employees.
Compensation increased for death in wildlife attack
The state government has increased the amount of assistance given in case of death due to attack by wild animals from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Apart from this, assistance of Rs 2 lakh will be given in case of serious injury, Rs 35 thousand in case of moderate injury and Rs 3.50 lakh in case of permanent disability. The government has also decided to make the compensation process easier and faster.
Government employees will get advance salary facility
The Cabinet has approved a new system for government employees. Under this, if needed, employees will be able to receive some part of their salary in advance. This facility will be made available through Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFC). If the employees return the amount within the stipulated time, they will not have to pay any additional fee or interest.
Computer operators will get the benefit of equal pay
The proposal to bring uniformity in the pay scale of computer operators and data entry operators working on contract in various departments of the state has also been approved. This is expected to provide relief to the employees who have been facing the problem of pay inequality for a long time.
Irrigation and road projects got approval
Administrative approval of Rs 947.26 crore has been given for the Amanat Barrage project in Palamu district. This scheme is expected to strengthen the agriculture and irrigation system. At the same time, approval of Rs 162.82 crore has been given for the widening and strengthening of Namkum to Doranda road in Ranchi.
Many appointments and services also got approval
The Cabinet also approved regularization of service of some employees and appointment of selected candidates to the post of Motor Vehicle Inspector. Apart from this, proposals like continuing the services of Women Helpline 181, extending the duration of Jharnet 2.0 project and implementing new working system in the Forest Department were also given the green signal.
Approval on proposals related to mining sector also
In the meeting, mining leases were approved for several coal blocks in Bokaro and Godda districts. Also, it was decided to seek permission from the Central Government to reserve some mineral areas of East Singhbhum. Apart from this, the state government also gave formal approval to the proposal to appoint Advocate Rohitash Rai as Advocate General of Jharkhand.
