Giridih, May 24 (IANS). The case of death under suspicious circumstances of 11th class student Payal Kumari in Sirsia village located in Mufassil police station area of Giridih district of Jharkhand is now gaining momentum. The state government has also taken the matter seriously. On Sunday, Jharkhand government minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu reached Sirsia village and met the victim’s family and assured them of justice. During this, Mayor Pramila Mehra was also present with him.
The minister met the family members and expressed his condolences and said that such an incident with any daughter is extremely sad and worrying for the society. He said that no culprit involved in the case will be spared and the police administration has been instructed to conduct an impartial and high-level investigation.
Payal Kumari had left home on May 19 for tuition and sewing training, but did not return. The family members searched for him extensively and later informed the police. While the police was investigating mobile call details and other aspects, his body was found on the banks of Usri river near Barganda old bridge on 21 May. There was a sensation in the area after the dead body was found. Local people are calling it a case of murder.
A large number of villagers and local people were present when the minister reached the village on Sunday. People raised the demand for hearing the case in a fast track court and early arrest of the accused. Mayor Pramila Mehra also consoled the family and said that the entire city stands with them in this hour of grief.
Here the police administration is also busy investigating the matter. Several suspects have been interrogated, although no arrests have been officially confirmed yet. The police is investigating keeping all the aspects in mind. After the incident, there is an atmosphere of anger and concern in the entire Giridih district. The family members are continuously calling it a case of murder and demanding strict action against the culprits.
