Jharkhand News: Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program run by the Election Commission of India, the work of mapping the voter list with the old voter list of 2003 has been expedited in many states including Jharkhand. The aim of this campaign is to make the Water List more accurate and updated.
Under this ongoing campaign in the district, mapping of about 61.82% voters has been completed so far. However, due to lack of expected progress in many areas, the Election Department has laid emphasis on increasing public participation. Considering October 1, 2026 as the qualifying date, the Election Commission has ordered to complete the voter list revision work in all the states in a time bound manner. In the same sequence, mapping work is going on in all the assembly constituencies in Dhanbad district also.
List of unmapped voters will be released on May 23
The administration has informed that on May 23, 100 percent list of unmapped voters will be published at all the polling stations in the district. The name and contact number of the concerned BLO (Booth Level Officer) will also be mentioned in this list, so that voters can contact directly and get their mapping completed. Besides, a copy of this list will also be made available to the concerned BLO, so that the list can be finalized after identifying absent, shifted, dead or duplicate voters.
Appeal made to voters
The Election Department has appealed to all the unmapped voters to contact the BLO of their assembly constituency and get their mapping completed as soon as possible along with the necessary documents. Voter enumeration forms and necessary declaration forms can also be presented for this.

The mapping status in various assembly constituencies of the district is as follows:
