Garhwa, May 18 (IANS). Taking cognizance of the viral video of giving petrol and diesel in gallons for extra money in Garhwa district of Jharkhand, the administration has taken action against petrol pumps. Garhwa SDM has said regarding this matter that after investigation, action has been taken against the petrol pump. Garhwa SDM Sanjay Pandey said that after investigating the viral video, the petrol pump was sealed. He told that we had already started investigation after taking cognizance of the viral video. Meanwhile, orders came from higher officials to investigate this matter.
SDM Sanjay Pandey said that the Circle Officer and Block Supply Officer were given the responsibility of investigation. The investigation report also came out. After this, many officials including DSO, zonal officer, police station in-charge went to the spot and sealed the petrol pump. He told that we had also checked the stock of the petrol pump, in which the stock was found to be less. Indian Oil officials have also been informed about this. He has also issued a notice to the petrol pump.
According to the SDM, we had held a meeting with all the petrol pump operators. There is no situation of non-availability of petrol in the area. It may happen that if there is no oil at one petrol pump, oil may be available at the next petrol pump. We have instructed that it is mandatory to put up a board at the petrol pump where there is no oil.
Let us tell you that a video had gone viral, in which a petrol pump employee was asking for extra money for giving petrol and diesel in gallons. Extra money was also being charged for diesel used in agricultural work. After the video went viral, there was a stir in the administration and action was taken against the petrol pump.
