Ranchi, June 7 (IANS). India Alliance has demonstrated its unity regarding the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand and has made it clear that the victory of both the candidates of the alliance is certain. On Sunday, an important meeting of all the constituent parties of the India Alliance was organized under the chairmanship of Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) President Hemant Soren. JMM candidate Baidyanath Ram and Congress candidate Pranab Jha were also present in the meeting.
While talking to the media after the meeting, JMM’s Central General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Vinod Kumar Pandey said that a detailed discussion regarding the Rajya Sabha elections was held in the alliance meeting under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He told that both the candidates will file nominations on Monday, and during this time all the MLAs of the alliance will be present with them unitedly. Pandey said that looking at the current political mathematics and the number of MLAs, it is completely clear that the victory of both the candidates of India Alliance is certain. He said that the alliance will formulate its strategy as per the need from time to time.
At the same time, Congress Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav also stressed on the unity of the alliance and said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, all the MLAs of the India alliance sat together and discussed the election strategy. He said that on Monday at 11 am all the MLAs will come together and file their nominations. Pradeep Yadav claimed that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, CPI (ML) and other left parties are completely united. He expressed confidence that both the candidates of the alliance will be victorious in the elections and the India alliance will once again prove its strength.
CPI (ML) MLA Babulal Mahato also claimed the strength of the alliance and said that the India alliance is fully organized under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He said that all the 56 MLAs of the alliance are standing in one voice in support of both the candidates and this unity will be visible during the nomination on Monday also. Mahato said that just as the alliance will appear united at the time of nomination, similarly there will be a display of unity on the day of voting and victory in the elections will be ensured.
