Madhya Pradesh: The government has prepared a maze to crack down on the land dealers who are indiscriminately constructing colonies without permission in the state. The state government is going to bring such a historic and very stringent bill in the upcoming monsoon session of the Assembly, which will make the land mafias sweat. As soon as the new proposed law is implemented, those doing illegal plotting will have to go behind the bars for 10 years and a huge fine of crores of rupees will also be imposed on them. This is being considered as the biggest attack of the government so far to wake up the system which was dormant till now and to stop haphazard urbanization.
Robbery on government land now stopped
It is often seen that people buy houses by investing their entire life’s capital, but due to illegal colonies they have to yearn for basic things like roads, water and electricity. The government is taking these strict steps to end this pain. According to the new rules, if anyone dares to establish a colony by occupying government land, property of development authorities, municipal corporation areas, forest land, river-ponds, parks or playgrounds, then it will be declared completely illegal. In such cases, immediate action will be taken by registering a criminal case directly against those selling the land.
The officers who are negligent will also be punished
There is such a provision of punishment in the draft of this new law that the soul trembles just by hearing it. If found guilty, the punishment can be a minimum of 7 years and a maximum of 10 years in jail. Along with this, a financial penalty of Rs 2 to 3 crore will also be imposed. There will be a time limit for removing the illegal colonies that have already been formed. If action is not taken within the stipulated time, the government will take complete control of that land. The most important thing is that corrupt officials involved in this game will also not be spared. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against any officer who continues to sit with closed eyes.
New resolution to build beautiful and convenient cities
On this big decision, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has made it clear that the entire draft of the new bill is being prepared rapidly. He expressed hope that once this bill is passed in the monsoon session, the cities of the state will get a systematic look. The main objective of this law is to protect common citizens from fraud and to provide them a safe house equipped with every necessary facility.
