MP Dhar Bhojshala: After the Bhojshala complex located in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh was declared a temple, worship has started. The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday delivered its verdict on the Bhojshala-Kamal Maula dispute, deeming the Bhojshala complex a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati (Vagdevi). After this there is a wave of happiness among the Hindus of Dhar.
People are coming to the Bhojshala complex located in Dhar to offer prayers. On Saturday morning, along with the officials of the Bhoj Utsav Committee, the devotees also gathered in the premises, where worship was performed with full rituals. During this, Hanuman Chalisa was also recited. This is the first puja held in Bhojshala after the High Court decision. However, during this period the police have made strict security arrangements. A large number of police forces are deployed to deal with any situation.
The Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court declared Bhojshala a temple and gave the Hindu side the right to worship at that place. The court passed the order on petitions that sought to return the Bhojshala premises to Hindus and stop Muslims from offering namaz in its premises. On Friday, a bench of Justice Vijay Kumar Shukla and Justice Alok Awasthi quashed the order in which Muslims were allowed to offer namaz on the Bhojshala premises.
The court said in its decision, “The disputed area of Bhojshala complex and Kamal Maula Masjid is considered a protected monument. The disputed area of Bhojshala complex and Kamal Maula Masjid has the religious nature of Bhojshala, which houses the temple of Goddess Saraswati.” The Court found that there was a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati at the site and historical literature proved that the place was a center of Sanskrit learning.
