BJP and Congress ‘separate’ stance on ‘Pappu Yadav’
The BJP immediately targeted the Congress on this trick of Pappu Yadav. BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala wrote on ‘X’ that Rahul Gandhi pushed and insulted Pappu Yadav from the stage like ‘Namdar Nawabzade’, while PM Modi honored him despite criticisms. This shows that the BJP is trying to pull Pappu Yadav into its court. At the same time, Pappu Yadav has expressed his allegiance to the Congress and Rahul Gandhi and has also merged his party (JAP-L) into the Congress. From ‘Assalamu-Alakum’ to ‘Pranam’
This change in Pappu Yadav’s politics can also be understood by his addresses. Last month, when he was in a rally with Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, he started with ‘Assalamu-Alakum’. But at the inauguration ceremony of Purnia Airport, he started his speech with “Pranam Gor Lagaaye Tora Sab Kiya” (greetings and respect to all of you). This shows that they are changing their stance according to their political needs. He thanked PM Modi from the stage and also made several demands for Purnia, including flood control, high court bench, sub-regional status to the city, AIIMS and an international cricket stadium.
What is Pappu Yadav’s ‘strategy’?
Pappu Yadav has a big strategy behind this political move. He is looking for a big role for himself and his supporters in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. They know that the area of Seemanchal, where he has a good hold, will play a decisive role in elections. Despite his poor relations with RJD, he is trying to negotiate with the Congress by taking the names of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
