Pk defamation notice: A new controversy has arisen in Bihar politics. Rural Works Minister Ashok Chaudhary in the Bihar government has sent a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to Jan Suraj Party, Prashant Kishore (PK). The minister has accused Prashant Kishore of making ‘wrong rhetoric’ and tarnishing his image. This step has been taken when PK accused Ashok Chaudhary of raising assets worth Rs 200 crore in two years. This is not the first case when such a legal battle has begun between these two.
‘200 crores property’: PK’s allegations and minister’s challenge
Prashant Kishore made sensational allegations in a press conference in Patna last week. He had said that Ashok Chaudhary has bought land worth Rs 200 crore in just two years through his wife, daughter, Samdhan and ‘Manav Vaibhav Vikas Trust’ associated with him. PK had claimed that the trust is the mother -in -law of Ashok Chaudhary, the mother -in -law of Shambhavi Chaudhary, the MP of the trust. Following these allegations, Ashok Chaudhary reacted immediately. He has sought evidence of his allegations from PK and threatened that if he does not publicly apologizes, he will sue him for defamation in court. This legal notice has brought a new turn in Bihar politics.
‘Legal war’ has happened before
This is not the first time Ashok Chaudhary and Prashant Kishore have come face to face. In the month of June, Ashok Chaudhary also sued Prashant Kishore for defamation. At that time PK had alleged that Ashok Chaudhary had bought a ticket by giving money to his daughter Shambhavi to contest the Lok Sabha elections. Shambhavi Chaudhary last year contested from Samastipur on the ticket of Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (Ram Vilas) and won and became an MP. Ashok Chaudhary says that Prashant Kishore is making such baseless allegations just for the headlines. On the other hand, Prashant Kishore says that he is standing on his allegations and has evidence. It remains to be seen whether the matter goes to court or PK publicly responds.
