PM Modi Araria rally: Attacking RJD in Araria, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the 15 years from 1990 to 2005, ‘Jungle Raj’ people destroyed Bihar. In the name of running the government, only the public was looted.
Talking about the power of vote with the people of Bihar, Prime Minister Modi said, “One vote of your grandparents had made Bihar the land of social justice. But, then the 90s came and Bihar was attacked by RJD’s ‘Jungle Raj’. Jungle Raj means harshness, cruelty, bitterness, bad manners, corruption and misgovernance. These became the identity of Jungle Raj and it became the misfortune of Bihar. Dreams were crushed.”
Prime Minister Modi said that the report card of development in Bihar during ‘Jungle Raj’ is ‘zero’. For 15 years from 1990 to 2005, this Jungle Raj devastated Bihar.
Presenting RJD’s report card, he said, “During the 15 years of Jungle Raj, ‘zero’ expressways were built in Bihar, ‘zero’ medical colleges were built and ‘zero’ bridges were also built on Kosi river. Not a single tourist circuit was developed in Bihar. Not even a sports complex for sports was built in Bihar during the 15 years of Jungle Raj. Not a single IIT, IIM or National Law College was established in those 15 years.”
Enumerating the works of the NDA government, PM Modi said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar brought Bihar out of ‘Jungle Raj’ with great difficulty. After the formation of the double engine government, there has been a new momentum in the development of Bihar.
He told that IIT and AIIMS have been created in Patna, IIM in Bodhgaya, National Law University in Bihar and IIIT in Bhagalpur. The work of Darbhanga AIIMS is continuing, while 4 central universities have also been established in Bihar. PM Modi also informed that four new bridges have been built on the river Ganga.
During the public meeting, Prime Minister Modi congratulated the voters on the ongoing first phase of voting and said, “There are long queues at the polling stations since morning. Mothers, sisters and daughters are coming out in large numbers to vote. There is unprecedented enthusiasm among the youth of Bihar too.”
He said, “Today only one voice is coming from entire Bihar, ‘Once again NDA government, once again good governance government.’ Behind this spirit of Bihar are the hopes of the mothers and sisters and the dreams of the youth. Youth, keep this guarantee of Modi in writing, ‘Your dream is Modi’s resolve.’
