BJP Counter Plan Against Prashant Kishor: Prior to Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, Electoral Strategist -turned -politician Prashant Kishore (PK) has emerged as a major challenge for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). By raising the ground issues through ‘Jan Suraj’ Yatra, PK is constantly putting Nitish Kumar -led government in the dock. His growing popularity has increased the tension of BJP not only of BJP and JDU in Bihar, but also at the national level. The biggest concern is that PK is also seen breaking into the ‘Core Votebank’ of NDA, which can cause great damage to their electoral prospects.
‘PK”s’ aggressive’ stance, ‘direct’ attack on ‘BJP’ leaders
For the past few months, Prashant Kishore has been directly surrounding the issues of corruption and nepotism to the prominent leaders and ministers of Bihar BJP.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey: PK has also raised the issue of medical college of Bihar BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal and has also wrapped the Health Minister in it.
Deputy Chief Minister Emperor Chaudhary: PK has also questioned the educational qualification of Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary from BJP quota.
Former President Sanjay Jaiswal: PK Sanjay Jaiswal has been surrounded by the ownership of the petrol pump.
PK is constantly raising issues like corruption, unemployment, education, migration and nepotism, which directly highlight the failures of the government.
‘Discussion’ of ‘PK Factor’ in BJP’s ‘meetings’
The BJP has also come into alert mode due to the increasing popularity of Prashant Kishore. In every meeting of BJP, the state leaders are asked the question that how big PK is becoming a factor.
Savarna Voter: The biggest concern of the BJP is that the voters of the upper castes should not go with PK. However, BJP leaders argue that the upper caste voters will not want to return to Lalu-Tejaswi’s ‘Jungle Raj’.
Youth Voter: The BJP is also working on the strategy to connect the youth with the party, as PK is becoming quite popular among the youth.
BJP leader Prashant Kishore is calling the allegations ‘factless’ and raising questions on his ‘Jan Suraj’ party. The BJP alleges why the deficit companies are giving crores of rupees to the PK party.
‘Plan’ to deal with ‘PK Factor’
The BJP has made a special plan to counter Prashant Kishore’s challenge.
Modi Mitra Abhiyan: The party is campaigning to make 10,000 ‘Modi Mitra’ in every assembly constituency.
‘Remember’ of Jungle Raj: These ‘Modi Mitra’ will remind the young voters of Bihar on social media of Lalu Yadav’s ‘Jungle Raj’ and will conduct digital campaigning for NDA.
It will be interesting to see if this plan of BJP is able to beat PK’s ‘ground movement’ or not. This election will be not just between two alliances, but also of ‘ground issues’ vs ‘ruling policies’.
