Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday laid the foundation stone of 150 meter span CC bridge on Sisauna river to be built at a cost of about Rs 11 crore 41 lakh to connect Shakti Farm of Sitarganj with Sidcul area. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the construction of this important bridge will directly benefit about 50 thousand people of the area and the distance to reach Sidcul Sitarganj and Development Block Office Sisauna will be reduced by about 9 kilometers. He said that this bridge will not only ensure easy transportation in the area but will also provide a new impetus to economic and social development.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is establishing new dimensions of development and prosperity. The state government is continuously working to strengthen roads, education, health, drinking water and other basic facilities from cities to remote hilly areas. He said that many ambitious projects are being conducted for the development of Udham Singh Nagar district and Shakti Farm-Sitarganj area.
The Chief Minister said that a modern dairy processing unit related to milk powder, ice cream and cheese manufacturing is being established in Shakti Farm through PPP model. Along with this, the construction work of Aqua Park is going on at a fast pace in Prahlad Palsia at a cost of about Rs 54 crore, about 75 percent of which has been completed. With the aim of providing better health facilities to the area residents, the PHC has been upgraded to a 30-bed CHC. Besides, the construction work of Sitarganj-Tanakpur four lane road, modern drainage system, various motor roads and multi storey parking is also in progress.
The Chief Minister said that the construction work of the Satellite Center of All India Institute of Medical Sciences on 100 acres of land at a cost of about Rs 351 crore is in progress at Kichha in Udham Singh Nagar district. Work is also being done towards the construction of an international level airport in Pantnagar. Apart from this, the area is being given a new identity through Gadarpur and Khatima bypass, Khatima and Kichha bus stands, sports stadiums, cycling track, athletics track and industrial projects.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is doing historic work towards meeting the drinking water and irrigation needs of the Terai region by restarting the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project. In the interest of farmers, the support price of sugarcane has also been increased by Rs 30 per quintal. He said that whatever development work the state government starts, it is completed in a time bound manner and dedicated to the people.
The Chief Minister said that along with development, the state government is also committed to cultural values, social harmony and transparent administration. He said that recruitment processes have been made transparent by implementing strict anti-copying laws in the state, as a result of which more than 32 thousand youth have got opportunities in government services in the last four and a half years.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Shri Saurabh Bahuguna expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that the work being done by the state government for the development of the area is historic. District Panchayat President Ajay Maurya, Block Chief Upkar Singh Bal, District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati, Chief Development Officer Divesh Shashani and a large number of public representatives and local citizens were present in the program.
